I’ve always loved writing.

Reading too, although somewhere along the line I managed to slip away from reading for recreation and use it almost exclusively for functional purposes now, which I find a little deflating if I’m honest.

There was nothing I loved more as a kid than losing myself in a good book.

I don’t believe that sensation’s changed.

I don’t now prefer to watch TV instead of reading. Nothing brings to life more vivid pictures than the brain itself.

I’m an everyday practitioner in the theatre of the mind!

BUT, what I do find, disappointingly, is that I often can’t relax enough to really soak into the pages of a book.

My mind races over with lists either completed or to be undertaken.

Dates for calendars, follow-ups, meetings.

The result? I read far less books.

Oddly, by contrast and because work situations have on occasion demanded it, I’ve written loads of articles, and, to date, one book of my own – teaching you how to make your own podcast for your business.

‘Pitch Perfect Podcasts – The Art Of Talking Up Your Business’ takes you from newbie to nerd in the Business Podcasting world, explaining firstly why you should have one / what’s in it for you – followed by ‘how you can’ launch and maintain your own.

It’s my intention to write another book, hopefully later this year, loosely connected to the concept of time travel, or the wrongs we might right in our own lives if we could only go back and rectify them with the benefit of hindsight and lived experience. The learned knowledge that only comes with the benefit of age.

That one is very much at the loosest stages of a work in progress but it’s there nonetheless as much to inspire me as to taunt me into finally getting it done.

And, I can write for you – whether it’s an article for a newspaper or magazine, a speech or a specialist blog entry – my experience is vast.

I’ve been creating and delivering scripts pretty much every day for the last 30 years, so feel free to get in touch at any time to discuss a written project.
